Once again we are pleased to offer you free training across Staffordshire.

 

We offer Core Training courses and Expression of Interest courses. Fill in your details below to book a place on a Core Training Course or register your interest in one of the 'Expression of Interest' courses. Read on to find out more.

 

How to book (or register your interest)

1. Decide which course you are interested in and complete the following T1 booking form for each person you wish to book on a course and then click Submit Form.  You may book as many places per course as you wish.  Submit a completed T1 booking form one at a time for each place you require.
   
   Alternatively you can download a T1 booking form and send it to us by post.

2. Once we receive your booking form/s for an Expression of Interest course we will contact you to acknowledge your interest and let you know when a course is likely to run.

3. Once we receive your booking form/s for a Core Training Course we'll book a place for you and then send you a letter confirming your place. If the course you have selected is full we'll contact you to suggest other courses or put your name on the reserve list for your chosen course

Expression of Interest Courses

The following courses will run when we receive enough interest in any of the 8 Staffordshire Districts.  We will keep a list of interested people and contact you when a course is confirmed.

• Understanding Play

  (An introduction to Playwork Assumptions & Values and 15 Play Types)

• Developing Your Playwork Practice

  (Understanding Play Cues & Play Frames and Adult Intervention in Children's Play)

• Adventurous Play in Childcare Settings

  (Understanding risk-taking & adventure in children’s play)

• Take 5 for Play

  (This is a 15 hour industry endorsed course that is recognised by OFSTED and includes the Playwork Induction Standard. The course is aimed at Holiday Playscheme providers and their paid & volunteer staff teams. Holiday Playschemes include those being run by childcare providers, Local Authority, leisure centre schemes and private, voluntary or independent holiday playschemes.
