Successful training programme announced for childcare providers across Staffordshire
Playtonics is please to announce new training opportunities across Staffordshire! We are working in partnership with Staffordshire Early Years & Childcare Unit to delivery a year-long training programme for childcare providers across Staffordshire.
Courses include:
- Promoting Positive Behaviour (5-14years)
Exploring children’s behaviour in childcare settings and strategies for promoting positive behaviour
- Understanding Play Workshop
An introduction to play types; playwork assumptions & values; play frame & play cues; adult intervention in children’s play; and the benefits of playing for children
- Adventurous Play (5-14 years)
Exploring children’s adventurous play needs and to help childcare workers introduce & manage adventuresome play in childcare and holiday playschemes
- Planning for Play
Exploring knowledge and skills for developing play environments in childcare settings
Holiday Playschemes providers will also have the opportunity to undertake the Ofsted recognised Level 2 training course ‘Take 5 for Play’. Playtonics will be delivering the course to interested Holiday Playscheme groups from May to July 2008.
